The Claims Process
The process of making a personal injury claim can be daunting. Luckily our Polish speaking team specialise solely in this area of law and will explain the process to you every step of the way. We ensure that your case is dealt with in a professional manner so that you can concentrate on recovering from your injuries.
If you wish to claim for personal injury you must speak with a Solicitor. We can meet you whenever suits you and we even work on Saturdays.
We will take all of the relevant information from you such as how the accident happened, details of your injuries and we can advise on how long we think the case will take and on the value of the case. We can meet you face to face, over the phone or we can communicate by email – whatever is easiest for you.
We will then end a letter of claim to the “at fault” party and this letter will be sent by them to their insurance company. The insurance company will start investigating what took place and this process can take several months.
The next stage is to have you medically examined so that your injuries can be detailed in a medical report. This medical report will be submitted with the Injuries Board. The Injuries Board is a government body designed to settle cases without the need to go through the Courts. If the case does not settle within the Injuries Board then Court proceedings must be commenced in order to progress the case.
Each case is different and there are no rules about how long a case can take to settle.
